A member of Big Punisher's security team who is accused of discharging a weapon to calm a crowd during the artist's July 10 concert will learn on Aug. 13 if a Michigan judge will put his case to trial. Natalie Mitchell, a clerk for Pontiac, Mich., 50th District Judge Leo Boman, confirmed that security guard Felix Cabrera's preliminary hearing that began July 20 was adjourned on Friday. It will continue on Aug. 13, at which time the judge will decide to either push the case forward to trial, drop the charges altogether or charge him on a lesser count and pursue a trial. Cabrera, 33, faces a charge of discharging a firearm in a building, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison. Police allege that panic broke out at Big Punisher's July 10 concert at the Industry nightclub in Pontiac after Cabrera fired a 9 mm pistol into the air several times in an effort to calm an unruly crowd. The rapper's security guard is also alleged to have pointed the gun at club security before he and some of Big Punisher's crew tried to flee out a back door, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Conway Thompson.
