THE HORSEMENT - A Mount Vernon NY Hip-Hop Group

SOURCE NOT STATED IN THE POST

The Horsemen, one of the hottest Hip-Hop groups ever to emerge from Mount Vernon, N.Y., will celebrate the May 25 release of their nationally distributed sophomore album, "Sleepy Hollow" (EBL Entertainment Records), with a free performance on Wednesday, May 26 at Westchester's premier urban music retailer, Vision Quest Music (24 Main St., Yonkers, N.Y., phone 914-375-1888), starting at 2:30 p.m. A meet-and-greet will take place immediately after the conclusion of the performance.

The Horsemen, Keith Darrell and Marvis Singleton, better known as "K-DUV" and "VIS," respectively, capture the hearts and minds at every performance. They've already stood side by side, kickin' lyrics with Big Pun, Fat Joe, and Noriega at New York's Club Amazura. They also kept people asking for more at Club Speed and a special performance at The World Wrestling Federation's theme restaurant/nightclub in New York City.

The Horsemen's concept of music and performance style comes from a variety of personal experiences and creative ability, which afforded the opportunity to orchestrate their unique blend and style. As individuals, The Horsemen are distinctive in their own style and character, which brings about a perfect blend in their music.

As individuals, The Horsemen are unique in their own way. Keith Darrell a/k/a "K-DUV" was born in Mount Vernon on August 10, 1976. If you ask him what does "K-DUV" mean, he will confidently tell you that "DUV" stands for "Don't Understand the Versatility." Of course, the "K" stands for Keith. During his free time, he enjoys watching and playing football, but his favorite sport is wrestling. Besides all of this and having a strong love for his music, nothing matters to him more than his mother. She is very close to his heart.

"VIS," a/k/a Marvis Singleton, was born August 11, 1979 in Mount Vernon. The "VIS" stands for "The Visual Force." He demonstrates every bit of force in his lyrics. Mavis enjoys football and basketball; however, he loves fast cars and fast motorcycles.

The Horsemen have great chemistry together. Maybe it's because they are both Leos. One thing is for sure: they are definitely here to stay.
