Mystikal Charged With Rape & Extortion

SOHH.COM

Mystikal may really be screaming "Danger" if he's convicted and jailed on charges that he raped and threatened a woman.

Michael "Mystikal" Tyler, turned himself in early Thursday accompanied by his attorney and was booked on one count each of extortion and aggravated rape. He was later released on $250,000 bond.

According to Baton Rouge police, Mystikal is accused of attacking a 40-year old acquaintance who came to his house on July 3 around 8pm. After calling two of his boys to join him, Mystikal allegedly raped the woman in front of them and forced her to perform oral sex on him. One of the other men also raped her and the other sexually assaulted her, said police.

"During the attacks, the victim was repeatedly threatened with prosecution of the checks and great bodily harm. The victim was allowed to leave the residence after the attacks. She was treated and released at a local hospital," the police statement said.

The two accomplices are identified as Leland Ellis, 36, and Vercy Carter, 34, of Baton Rouge, who turned themselves in and were booked Thursday morning, police said. Their bond has yet to be set.

Mystikal's most recent release, Tarantula, paled in comparison to the success of his double platinum "Let's Get Ready" album that spawned the 2000 summertime anthem "Shake Ya Ass" and follow-up single "Danger".
