B-Boy Summit 2000 Wrap Up

Another year, another incredible B-Boy Summit. This year's event hosted by Asia One and No Easy Props Productions, wrapped up Sunday in a Pasadena, CA church. Taking the title in the two-person tag-team crew battle for supremacy were Juse Boogie and Tight Twixx of the Massive Monkees crew from Seattle. Much respect to all those that battled.

B-Boys and B-Girls from France to Miami to host-city Los Angeles represented well of the 3-day festival highlighting that element of hip-hop. But, aside from just breakin' going on, there were numerous panels on subjects like graffiti and politics within the hip-hop community. Clearly people were also there to expand their minds and take things to a new conscious level.

Performers included Medusa, Click Tha Supa Latin, the Cali Agents (Planet Asia and Rasco), DJ Dres, Breakestra, Jurassic 5's Akil and many others. With such a strong lineup, the emceeing and DJing elements shined quite bright as well. Although you may have missed out on this year's Summit, there's still plenty of time to plan for next year's annual event.
