Video Shoot at the Fulton County Jail

Atlanta officials are calling for the sheriff's resignation after it was discovered that Fulton County Jail guards colluded with Cobb County Jail employees to let dirty south emcee T.I. (Clifford Harris) secretly film a video at the maximum security Fulton County Jail.

T.I. has been incarcerated at the Cobb County Jail since March 31 after turning himself in on a probation violation stemming from a 1997 drug charge. He was sentenced in April to one year, and he served 4 months before being granted day-time work release.

On Thursday, guards at the Cobb County Jail gave T.I. permission to shoot the video. Then one of them struck a deal with two guards at the Fulton County Jail to let T.I. use a section of their maximum security facility if he agreed to pay them.

At least three Fulton guards participated in the video, and they recruited about eight prisoners for supporting roles....all of which violates prison policy.

To add further embarrassment, during the video shoot a female inmate escaped by slipping out of a door for employees. Jail officials said the video shoot had nothing to do with the escape, which was the 10th escape or accidental release from the jail during the last 16 months.

Acting on a tip, police recaptured the escapee round 2 a.m. Friday.

The three Fulton guards who appeared in the video are expected to be placed on administrative leave while the matter is investigated.

A spokesman for T.I.'s Atlantic Records label was not available for comment.
