UNIVERSAL SHOWS INTEREST IN PROPHETIX

Universal Records, the largest record company in the world, has expressed interest in Atlanta-based Hiphop group Prophetix (http://prophetix.iuma.com). A representative from the Artist and Repertoire Department at Universal contacted the group's management shortly before the end of 2001. Constantly performing live shows, Prophetix is currently working on their eagerly anticipated debut album "High Risk" featuring a powerful line up of producers including MF Doom, DJ Cheapshot, and the group's own Jon Doe.
Shortly after the April 29th release date of the album, the group is planning a European tour including shows in Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, and possibly Finland. "We are definitely looking forward to both releasing the album and touring overseas," cites Mello, "There are a lot of good things in store for us now as well as in the future."
The group will do a live performance on Tuesday, January 29th at the Apache Cafe in Atlanta. Prophetix latest single, "True Urban Grit", is still currently in rotation around the planet.
