RIP - VANILLA ICE

REUTERS

"I want nothing fake. Nothing posed. Nothing made up." are the word's of the late Rob Van Winkle, Aka Vanilla Ice, who died shortly past 10 am today, Sunday July 9, at Cedar's Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. It was unknown to the public, and most people outside of family and close friends, that the 33 year old rapper, turned punk singer was suffering from a rare form of lymphoma to which he finally succumbed to after a long two year battle. Van Winkle is best known for his song "Ice Ice Baby", and was an icon in the rap community for the better part of the late 80's and early 90's. He later turned to rock music and attempted at an ill fated singing career in the punk scene. Incidentally enough, Van Winkle was also the son of the late beloved painter and television show host Bob Ross, who died in 1995.
