Rapper ODB arrested for driving with a suspended license

SOURCE NOT STATED IN THE POST

Days after being released from jail on drug charges, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper, whose real name is Russell Jones, was arrested Friday and accused of driving with a suspended license.

Police stopped Jones for driving a van without a license plate along Harlem's 125th Street.

When they checked his driver's license number, police discovered the license had been suspended--for the sixth time -- and that Jones, 30, was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to pay child support.

On Wednesday, Jones pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles to a charge he violated a new California law banning violent felons from wearing bullet-proof vests.

In 1993, he was convicted of
second-degree assault in New
York City.
