April 13, 2005 -- Rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard's philandering ways may soon be laid bare his widow revealed she's kept a sample of his DNA to force kids claiming "He's my daddy" to prove it. Icelene Jones, fighting a battle over the dead hip-hop star's estate, yesterday dropped her previous denials that her estranged hubby fathered up to 10 children other than the couple's three kids.
"I was real hurt with him doing the things that he's done," admitted Jones, 35, speaking at a press conference with her lawyer.
"But I have nothing against the other children. I've met some of them. If they are, they are. If they're not, they're not. They're beautiful children the ones that I've seen. I preserved DNA for this purpose."
Various biographers say ODB fathered 12 or 13 children with several women.
Jones' lawyer, Steven Mandel, said the DNA samples taken from ODB, whose real name is Russell Jones, would be used for paternity tests.
"Anybody who comes forward and says they believe they are a biological child of Russell, we will substantiate that with DNA," said Mandel.
"If in fact they are a child of Russell's, they will share proportionally in the estate. We are not here to cut any children out."
The press conference resembled a bizarre p.r. pitch to convince the public that Jones was ODB's one-and-only complete with handouts of copies of the marriage certificate, and happy snaps of Jones and the kids visiting ODB in prison.
"It's not really to claim money. It's to make sure everybody understands that I was his wife and these are his three children," said Jones.
