N.W.A., The Most Influential Rap Group Of All Time, Reunites To Create New Song "Chin Check" for Next Friday Soundtrack
In 1989, N.W.A.'s ground-breaking album Straight Outta Compton set a mark by being the first rap album ever to enter the charts at no. 1.
It was N.W.A. who spawned some of rap's biggest stars, started the famous "West Coast" sound, influenced an entire genre of music and sparked some of the most historically controversial and political events that music has ever seen.
Now, ten years later, the Niggas With Attitude -Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and Snoop Dogg (filling in for the late Eazy E)- have reunited and returned to the studio in Los Angeles to create a brand new song entitled "Chin Check." "Chin Check," noted for its classic N.W.A. sound, is soon to found on the soundtrack for Ice Cube's upcoming movie "Next Friday" which will be released on Priority Records on December 14th. It was Priority Records who released N.W.A.'s first record in 1989.
"Next Friday" is the follow up to Ice Cube's smash cult favorite "Friday," and will be in theaters January 12th.
A video for "Chin Check", which will include N.W.A. member DJ Yella, is soon to be shot in Los Angeles.
