Non Phixion Interview - Over Ya Head, 89.5 WSOU

The following interview with the New York-based underground hip-hop group, Non Phixion (Ill Bill, Sabac, Gortex, and DJ Eclipse), was conducted on February 21, 1999 by Tim McClain (DJ TradeMark) on Over Ya Head , a weekly hip-hop radio program that airs from 10:00 to Midnight, Sundays, on 89.5 WSOU at Seton Hall University, NJ.

TradeMark: Start by introducing Non Phixion - who you are, where you're from, and where you believe you're headed.

Ill Bill: We're gonna be dead by next year - by 2000.

Sabac: We're originally from a small planet on the outskirts of the Milky Way.

Ill Bill: On the real, we're about to put out our album. It's should be out by October or November of this year. Then we're about to tour the world. We're trying to get this Metallica tour set up - workin' on that right now.

Sabac: I know some of the listeners have been wonderin' what's going on with Non Phixion, but we've just been handling some of our business. You know, making sure the right people are around us because we took some risks with certain people handling our careers and it just wasn't comin' out correct, so we took it into our own hands.

Ill Bill: The album's gonna pick up where the "I Shot Reagan" single left off, and we're just gonna go from there. There's gonna be mad songs. The "I Shot Reagan" joint will be on there, but there's also gonna be a whole lot of new stuff that nobody's ever heard. We're working with a whole bunch of heads: people like DJ Premier, Large Professor, and Prince Paul, amongst the in-house fam - Necro, Gortex, and 10 K. There's gonna be a lot of joints. There's gonna be something for everybody.
