Hip-Hop For Respect

Hip-Hop For Respect A year in the making, Mos Def's & Talib Kweli's project, Hip-Hop For Respect, will see a release date of March 14th. The project was inspired after the police killing of 19-year-old Tyesha Miller by authorities in Riverside, California in December 1998, and the slaying of 22-year-old Amadou Diallo by New York City police in February 1999.

The maxi-sinlge will feature appearances from Black Star, Common, Kool G Rap, Pos, Rah Digga, Pharoahe Monch, Sporty Thieves, and Shabaam Sahdeeq, Rza, Pras, Cappadonna, and Parrish Smith. The first single, "One For Love, Pt. 1", was produced by Organized Noize and will hit radio on February 28th.
