After wrestling with the semantics of phrases such as "mish mish man", a high court judge has concluded that rap lyrics are a foreign language, reports the Mirror. The paper quotes Mr Justice Lewison as saying he was faced with "the faintly surreal experience of three gentlemen in horsehair wigs examining the meaning of such phrases as 'mish mish man' and 'shizzle my nizzle'".
The case revolved around claims from Andrew Alcee of the Ant'ill mob that another group's remix of his song Burnin' had "damaged his reputation with its violence or drug related content". The case was dismissed because Mr Alcee's interpretation of the words could not be confirmed by an expert, the paper reports.
