Black Rob Arrested After 5-Finger Discount

According to the NY Post, Black Rob was arrested yesterday morning after taking advantage of the old five-finger discount.
Police say the Harlem rapper who was staying at an Upper West Side hotel sneaked into a woman's room and swiped her jewelry and cash while she was sleeping. Ross, who is signed to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records, was arrested at the On The Ave Hotel on West 77th Street yesterday morning after a security video caught him checking random doors on the hotel's 12th floor around 4 a.m. Security guards looked at the incriminating tape when Renu Vermani, an eminent cardiologist visiting from Maryland, reported she had lost $6,000 in David Yurman jewelry and $300 cash. On the tape, the rapper is seen entering the woman's room and coming out with a purse.
Vermani told police she was asleep in her room at the time and woke up to find her valuable possessions gone.
When Ross was arrested at 11:30 a.m. he didn't have the jewelry with him, but cops persuaded him to call his pal and accomplice, Damien Ashmeade, and bring it to the 20th Precinct station house.
