Suge Knight's former lawyers Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper arrested, held on $1M bail

Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper, two lawyers who previously represented Suge Knight in his murder case, were arrested Thursday.
Fletcher was held on $1 million bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records.
The Sheriff’s Department told the Daily News that Fletcher, 53, had been arrested for accessory after the fact, defined in California law as “harboring, concealing or aiding a person whom you know has committed a felony, in order to protect him or her from arrest, trial, conviction and/or sentencing.”
Culpepper was also arrested for accessory after the fact.
No details of the claims against either attorney were available.
The California lawyers represented Knight until being replaced suddenly in September.
A month earlier, Los Angeles County prosecutors claimed Fletcher, Culpepper and the rap mogul had tried to bribe witnesses. The alleged conversations about convincing witnesses to fabricate testimony were recorded and transcriptions were presented in court, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Fletcher denied the accusations.
Knight, 52, is accused of killing Terry Carter in January 2015 when he drove into him in the parking lot of a Compton burger stand after an argument on the set of “Straight Outta Compton.”
He is charged with murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run and expected to stand trial later this year.
