Police have difficulty getting information on Suge Knight's shooting

SOURCE NOT STATED IN THE POST

MIAMI BEACH (AP) - Police in Miami Beach say they're having a hard time trying to find out what happened at a party where rap mogul Suge Knight was shot early this morning.

He's hospitalized in good condition with a leg wound. The private party in celebration of tonight's MTV Video Music Awards was hosted by Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Kanye West.

There have been no arrests. Miami Beach Police Officer Bobby Hernandez complains witnesses aren't cooperating. He says detectives got more more information from the bartender than from the people who were with Knight.

Knight co-founded the pioneering rap label Death Row Records and hit the charts in the 1990's with West Coast stars including Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur.
