LL Cool J Swipes Wyclef Jean

The latest salvo in a war of words among top rappers LL Cool J, Wyclef Jean and Canibus features LL responding to superstar Wyclef's cutting "What's Clef." But despite the media hype that has surrounded the battling, the release of the song "Rasta Impasta" has been strangely muted. To date, it's only available via the hip-hop underground, on a mix-tape out of the United Kingdom. Tom Moscato, webmaster for The Greatest Hip-Hop Beefs Homepage (http://members.tripod.com/~DonTeflon/BizBeef.html), which tracks hip-hop's greatest lyrical battles, said he thinks the track sounds like something LL Cool J did quickly, which may be why it hasn't been officially released. "It's interesting because it's a response to Wyclef's song," Moscato continued, "but on its own, from a lyricist's perspective, I don't think it's very good.
