KRS-ONE's Temple of Hip Hop releases alternate version of Kristyles

When the "Kristyles" album was released by Koch Records this past June, KRS-ONE immediately protested that it was not mixed or sequenced to his specifications and requested a court order to have the shipments recalled. However, the issue has since been settled privately and the Koch version remains in stores as authorized to be sold. In the meantime, KRS-ONE's Temple of Hip Hop organization has provided an alternate version of the album entitled "The Kristyle" (note slightly different spelling) which is believe to be the one which Kris himself wishes to be made available to the public. These 20 tracks include selections from "Kristyles" which may have been mixed down differently after recording, as well as several cuts which are exclusive to this edition, including a special tribute to the late Jam Master Jay which was mysteriously omitted from the Koch release. Includes the hit singles "Underground" and "Gunnin Em Down", with production by Beatminerz, Choco, Deejay Tine E. Tim, Mike Heron, Gato, Kenny Parker, Jim Bean, Rick Rock and Soul Supreme. Guest vocals provided by Mad Lion, Shuman, Priest, Taketha, Pito and Truck Turner.
