Ja Rule - Venni, Vetti, Vecci

Def Jam's latest - Ja Rule - rampages onto the rap scene with his debut album Venni, Vetti, Vecci - Latin for "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered." Definitely not one of those pretty boys talking about their V12�s, and platinum jewels. This is one for all the hardcore heads out there. "Holla, Holla", the album's first single; we all bounce to the joint every time we listen to it. Another hot one is "It's Murda" featuring DMX and Jay-Z. But for the most part, the tracks just blend one into the other. You can't help thinking, haven't I heard this already??? The main topic of all 17 tracks - murda, dying for my niggas, and f***ing them bitches' Two exceptions to this are "Only Begotten Son" and "The Murders", same dark vibe as the rest - but with an original twist. My take - the album is average with a few nice tracks.
