Addicted To Noise correspondent Kembrew McLeod reports : When Guru and his highly acclaimed rap act Gang Starr sat down to consider a title for their latest release, they wanted it to say something about the state of hip-hop and, perhaps more importantly, their career.
Like De La Soul's Stakes is High, the title of Gang Starr's upcoming disc, Moment of Truth, is a metaphor for the current status of the hip-hop nation as well as Guru and DJ Premier's struggle for commercial recognition throughout their 10 years as a duo.
