FIRST STOP: NEW YORK CITY:Cincinnati Based DJ Is Taking The East Coast By Storm

New York, NY-April 6, 2005- Edgar "DJ OO-Wop" Christian, one of the most established deejays in the Midwest, announced today the first leg of his east coast tour beginning in New York City. OO-Wop will be a guest deejay at Harlem's Cherry Lounge (owned by DJ Clue and Timbaland) and also spinning at VH1 Save the Music's screening party for their upcoming star studded benefit concert later this month.
A native of Cincinnati, DJ OO-Wop has been heating up the mix tape scene since 1995, where he got his start deejaying in front of a local apparel store. Since then OO-Wop has quickly made a name for himself as one of the hottest deejays the Midwest underground scene has ever produced. His talent definitely has not gone unnoticed. OO-Wop has worked with numerous music industry insiders including artists at Loud, Sony and All Net.
Aside from being a talented deejay and producer, OO-Wop is a community driven family man. Just two weeks after, this father of two teamed with a local record store and the Red Cross to help raise funds for victims of the tsunami that ravaged Southeast Asia.
DJ OO-Wop is ready to make his move. He is ready to show the world what Cincinnati, Ohio and the Midwest is all about. OO-Wop is currently setting up a tour of the major markets up and down the East Coast, starting in New York City beginning on April 7th. OO-Wop will be appearing on Thursday, April 7th from 6-8 PM at the Cherry Lounge (454 W. 128th St., between Amsterdam and Convent Aves) and on Monday, April 11th at LQ's (511 Lexington Ave).
