Cops: Drug Ring Scored With Rapper's RV

White Plains, NY - Four men were arrested on drug charges after allegedly smuggling more than 200 pounds of cocaine by packing it into luxury cars and a rap singer's tour bus, where drugs and cash were hidden under her bed.
The singer, Gloria Velez, who has appeared in videos with rappers Jay-Z, DMX and Ja Rule, wasn't charged. Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who announced the arrests, said 75 officers from various agencies seized more than 200 pounds of cocaine, $800-thousand dollars in cash and cars including a Hummer, a Mercedes-Benz, a Cadillac and a Range Rover.
Pirro said the group transported an estimated $50 (M) million dollars a year in drugs from the West Coast to New York and other East Coast cities.
Pirro said the investigation began in 2002 as a Mount Vernon drug case.
Three of the men were arrested in the Bronx last Friday as they unloaded cocaine from vehicles: Charles Gant,of the Bronx, James Lloyd, of Mount Vernon, and Michael Goodson, of Mount Vernon.
They were arraigned in Mount Vernon on charges of first-degree drug possession and second-degree conspiracy and are being held without bail at the county jail.
A fourth man, Dwayne McCaskey, of Fort Lee, New Jersey, was charged with conspiracy."
