Cassidy's Preliminary Hearing Postponed

Cassidy, who was arrested on Friday for the murder of a 22-year-old man in his native Philadelphia, was set to appear before a judge Wednesday morning (June 22) for a preliminary hearing, but the rapper's attorney, Michael Giampietro, said it was postponed until July 19, at the request of the Philadelphia district attorney's office. Before the postponement, the judge did grant a bail request, setting the amount at $500,000. Prosecutors appealed the ruling, however, and it was eventually overturned - meaning Cassidy (born Barry Reese) will spend the next 27 days, at least, behind bars. Giampietro said the bail situation would be readdressed during the July hearing, and that the "odds of him getting out [on that day] are pretty good." ...
