50 Invests in Beverage

SOURCE NOT STATED IN THE POST

Rapper 50 Cent is joining his peers and diversifying.

Similar to Jay-Z, who has his own record label, a clothing and sneaker line, 50 one ups him and adds a beverage company to his portfolio.

During a recent interview with a New York TV station, he divulged that he purchased a stake in "Glaceau," the company that owns and distributes the popular "Vitamin Water" beverages. The rapper explained that, unlike his peers, he does not often drink alcoholic beverages. So, instead of purchasing or promoting a liquor company, he opted to purchase a stake in a beverage he drinks regularly.

Reportedly, 50 Cent will release his own line of drinks, a grape-flavored beverage called Formula 50.

Formula 50 will retail for $1.99 and while it hasn't been officially released, select stores in New York are testing the product.
